Private cloud in Israel, on infrastructure we own and operate
EMCloud is the private cloud platform owned and operated by Vinetu Technologies. It runs on Vinetu-owned compute, storage and network hardware in two independent, underground Tier 3+ datacenter facilities in Israel, in an active-active architecture, routed over Vinetu’s own autonomous system, AS35435.
What is EMCloud?
EMCloud is the cloud brand of Vinetu Technologies Ltd. It has operated since 2010, when the company traded as EMGroup (EMIT, EMCloud and EMSoft), and remained part of the company after the 2018 rebrand to Vinetu Technologies. Vinetu is the integration and managed-services partner; EMCloud is the platform those services run on when a customer needs a private cloud.
The distinction matters when you compare providers. Many IT companies resell capacity from someone else’s cloud. EMCloud’s servers, storage arrays and network equipment are owned and operated by EMCloud, and its IP address space is held under Vinetu Technologies’ RIPE NCC membership. The two datacenter buildings are operated by specialist facility providers: Vinetu does not own the buildings, it owns and runs the cloud infrastructure inside them.

Vinetu, EMCloud and CaaS: who does what
- Vinetu Technologies Ltd is the company. It designs, integrates and operates customer environments, including networks, security and managed IT.
- EMCloud is Vinetu’s private cloud platform and brand. Customer workloads run on EMCloud infrastructure under the Vinetu Cloud Services Agreement.
- CaaS (Cloud as a Service) is a white-label offering developed and operated by Vinetu Technologies, which lets other IT companies provide cloud infrastructure to their customers under their own brand.
How we deliver it
Assess
Inventory workloads, dependencies, licensing, performance baselines and data-residency requirements, and decide what should and should not move.
Design
Design the target environment: sizing, performance tier, network segments, public addressing, firewall policy, office connectivity and the backup and DR model.
Implement
Build the environment and migrate in planned waves, keeping a rollback path for every cut-over.
Validate
Test applications with their owners, verify backup and restore, and confirm monitoring and access before each wave is signed off.
Operate
Operate the platform with 24x7 infrastructure monitoring, and optionally manage guest systems and applications under a managed IT agreement.

EMCloud does not publish a platform-wide uptime percentage or a default RPO/RTO. Recovery commitments exist only within a contracted disaster recovery service and are written into that service’s SLA.

Frequently asked questions
Does Vinetu own the datacenters?
No. The two datacenter buildings are operated by specialist Tier 3+ facility providers. EMCloud owns and operates the cloud infrastructure inside them: the servers, storage arrays and network equipment, and the IP address space routed on AS35435.
What does active-active mean for my workloads?
Both facilities carry production at the same time; there is no idle standby site to bring up after a failure. Customer VMs are also copied to the second site as part of the platform’s resilience design. That copy is infrastructure protection, not a disaster recovery commitment: customer-specific failover, RPO and RTO are defined only in a contracted DR service.
Where is our data stored?
In two EMCloud facilities in central and northern Israel. EMCloud does not publish the facility operators’ names for security reasons; they can be discussed within a formal engagement.
How is backup handled in the standard service?
The standard cloud service includes a daily automated VM backup with rolling 14-day retention, as set out in the Cloud Services Agreement. It is provided on a best-effort basis. For critical systems we recommend a designed backup and disaster recovery service with defined retention, restore testing and recovery objectives.
Can we connect our offices to the private cloud?
Yes. Hybrid connectivity uses encrypted site-to-site connections between your offices and your EMCloud environment. Addressing, routing and firewall policy are agreed in the design phase.
How is EMCloud different from AWS or Azure?
Hyperscalers offer a very broad service catalogue on shared global infrastructure. EMCloud is a private cloud in Israel with dedicated environments, owned infrastructure and direct access to the engineers who operate it. Many organizations use both; Vinetu can design the connectivity and the split of workloads between them.
