# Managed Kubernetes on infrastructure we own

Vinetu Technologies provides fully managed Kubernetes clusters on EMCloud, its private cloud in Israel, and designs and operates Kubernetes platforms in customer environments. Vinetu’s DevOps practice handles cluster design, networking, storage, upgrades, access control, observability and support.

## What is included in managed Kubernetes?

Kubernetes makes it possible to run containerized applications reliably at scale, but running the platform itself takes ongoing work: upgrades, networking, storage, certificates, access control, monitoring and capacity planning. Managed Kubernetes moves that work to a team that does it every day.

On EMCloud, clusters run on infrastructure Vinetu owns and operates in two independent Israeli facilities, which keeps workloads and data under Israeli jurisdiction and gives the platform team direct control of the underlying network and storage.

Vinetu can also design and operate Kubernetes on customer hardware or in customer cloud accounts, and help teams migrate existing applications onto the platform.

## Who it is for

- Software teams that want Kubernetes without operating the control plane and nodes themselves.
- Organizations that need containers to run in Israel on dedicated infrastructure.
- Teams already on Kubernetes who are stretched by upgrades and platform maintenance.
- Companies moving from virtual machines to containers who need a platform and a migration path.

## Problems it solves

- Clusters that fall several versions behind because upgrades are risky and time-consuming.
- Persistent storage and networking problems that application teams cannot diagnose.
- Unclear access control and secrets handling across namespaces and teams.
- No backup or recovery plan for cluster state and persistent volumes.

## Scope and deliverables

- Cluster design: sizing, networking, ingress, storage classes and multi-environment layout.
- Provisioning of managed clusters on EMCloud, or on customer infrastructure.
- Version upgrades and node maintenance on an agreed schedule.
- Access control, namespaces and secrets management.
- Monitoring, logging and alerting for the platform.
- Backup of cluster configuration and persistent data.
- Application onboarding and migration support from Vinetu’s DevOps practice.

## How we deliver it

- ### Assess Review the applications, environments, traffic patterns and data that will run on the platform.
- ### Design Design clusters, networking, storage, access control, observability and the upgrade policy.
- ### Implement Provision clusters and connect them to CI/CD, registries and identity.
- ### Validate Validate with real workloads, including failure of a node, a rollout and a rollback, and a restore from backup.
- ### Operate Operate the platform: upgrades, capacity, incidents and support for application teams.

## Why Vinetu

- Clusters on infrastructure Vinetu owns: the platform team controls the network, storage and hardware beneath Kubernetes.
- Two independent Israeli facilities in active-active operation underneath the platform.
- Supported by the same DevOps practice that builds customers’ pipelines, so platform and delivery fit together.
- One provider for the cluster, the cloud, the network, security and backup.

## Frequently asked questions

### What does “fully managed” mean here?

Vinetu provisions and operates the clusters, including upgrades, node maintenance, platform monitoring and support. Your team deploys and owns its applications. The exact division of responsibilities is written into the service agreement.

### Can we run Kubernetes on our own hardware?

Yes. Vinetu can design and operate Kubernetes on customer infrastructure or in customer cloud accounts, in addition to managed clusters on EMCloud.

### How are cluster upgrades handled?

On an agreed schedule and policy, tested first in a non-production environment, with a rollback plan. The aim is to keep clusters on supported versions without surprising application teams.

### Where does our data live?

For clusters on EMCloud, in Vinetu’s two facilities in Israel. For clusters on customer infrastructure or cloud accounts, wherever that infrastructure is.
